Snow On The Way- Help us Help You
Tuesday, January 24th, 2011:  Our entire response area is under a winter storm warning with 4-8" expected.  We would like to take this time to discuss how you
can make our job easier during these storms.  Most importantly, please keep your driveway and sidewalks clear of snow.  Now only will this reduce injury to those
who walk on the surfaces it will make it easier for responders to get into your house if we need to respond.  Also, especially with heavy accumulation storms we ask
that your keep any fire hydrants in your area clear.  This requires you to dig the snow out to the base of the hydrant, and two feet around the hydrant.  Shoveling
a path to the hydrant is also helpful for us in locating the hydrant on response.  By digging out your hydrant you reduce delay by allowing us to quickly locate and
hook up to the hydrant quickly.  We thank you for the help!
